Structural Rhythm and Forest Immersion
The second design option for the Mir Enclave chalet utilizes a rhythmic A-frame structure that emphasizes verticality and modularity. This version features a deeper integration of timber louvers and a multi-level deck, extending the living space directly into the canopy. The design explores a more skeletal architectural language, where the dark structural ribs define the volume and create a play of light and shadow across the interior timber finishes.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The design focuses on structural repetition and outdoor-indoor continuity to enhance the retreat experience.
- A series of exposed structural ribs that define the architectural form and internal volume.
- Integrated wooden decking and balconies that provide private vantage points within the forest.
- Vertical wooden elements that provide solar protection while adding warmth and texture to the facade.
- A layered interior layout that takes advantage of the high-volume A-frame peak.
- The use of matte black metal members against natural wood cladding to emphasize the modern cabin aesthetic.
