A Luminous Symbol of Devotion
This design proposal near Simly Dam balances simplicity with sacred geometry, utilizing open courtyards and natural ventilation to create a modern spiritual landmark.
The two-level layout efficiently organizes prayer halls, service areas, and funeral spaces, while Arabic calligraphy and a slender minaret reinforce the building’s spiritual identity.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The design, titled “Weaving Light and Shadow,” utilizes a series of parabolic arches to animate the interiors through shifting natural light patterns.
- Jali screens filter sunlight by day and transform the masjid into a glowing lantern by night.
- A minimalist approach featuring Arabic calligraphy and a slender minaret.
- Organized prayer halls and services across the lower and upper ground levels.
